This is what I will be doing tomorrow :)

I have heard a lot of chatter on the Political Podcasts about getting involved in your community. We talked about communication at the last meeting, as well as many of the things happening in the Puyallup area. Some spoke about ways to help and contribute to the needs in the community. Wondering if we could use the meeting time to share those events coming up during the month and organize how we can help with volunteering and resources. These would offer times to get out to meet others in our community and opportunities to promote Indivisable Puyallup in various media. Events bring eyes to a cause; without spending money to host an event, we go out and get involved in things in our neighborhood. A list on the FB page named the many events happening this weekend, in addition to the April 19th protests, but I can't find it. I…
This is a house press release for today 4-10-25. The press release is full of SH-T! Here is a quote form the release.
“The Speaker of the House and the Majority Leader of the Senate have committed to reduce spending by at least $1.5 trillion. Consistent with the House-passed budget resolution and President Trump’s call to put our nation on a path to balance, we received assurances from the Speaker that the House will not consider a final reconciliation bill that adds to the national debt........
There is no accurate, credible audit facts provided by DOG E.
The cuts to working class support programs are malicious.
THERE IS NO WAY THERE 4+ TRILLON TAX GIVE AWAY WILL NOT INCREASE THE NATIONAL DEBT!
Why the tax giveaways? Record profits, Record profit margins, Record monopolies, Record wealth inequality. What we need is a way to communicate this information to republicans!
From a dude named Bobby Kogan:
Those Medicaid cuts? They come from the Energy & Commerce Committee. Here's a list of the members. If we can get a majority of these people to vote no, it's stuck there (unless the House gives up on the official committee process, forcing the Senate to do it)

Those SNAP cuts? They come from the Agriculture Committee. Here's the list of the members. Same deal. We have to try to stop there here.

Those student loan cuts? They come from the Education and Workforce Committee. Here's the list of members. Same deal here as well.
Thank you Erik, these are very important issues that we need to be tracking. I thought I saw a list of emails for members of congress, both House and Senate, available somewhere. I will look for it. The problem with most of these M.O.C. pages is you have to fill out an individual form for each communication. Zip code included. I suspect they disregard any communication for out of their district, or state..... That does not mean we cant influence them in other ways.
One thing I thought of yesterday is how to share news and info with people who align with this regime. We use a platform we respect, and share a more NON political issue, that they could get behind. My thought is that if they can hear something they can relate to, from a station, or channel, or media site they don't normally use, like NPR, maybe they'd choose that source again in the future.
